The gnomes and elves made of sculpted red-burning clay bring ambiance to the sauna. The gnomes with tar-coated pointed hats can resist the heat of the sauna stove and can be placed among the stones or on the windowsill. The heat of the sauna stove causes their tar-coated pointed hats to release a scent that creates the Finnish sauna ambiance. These hats can be tarred again after the scent has vanished.

The sauna stove drop, "kiuastippa", (protected design) is suspended above the sauna stove and water is added to the pail. The water drips on the stove through a hole in the bottom of the pail. A few drops of aromatic oil can be added can be added to the water to produce a lovely scent that spreads through the air for the complete enjoyment of the sauna-goer.
